Butterflies in Flight
Fragile, fluffy pink mimosa flowers attract many butterflies, such as the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Virginia's state insect. Their spectacular outspread wingspan can measure between 3 and 5.5 inches across.
See the butterflies — they spread their wings when they take flight. A fluttering butterfly is often the highlight of a child's outdoor adventure.
